Laura has lived in Texas most of her life, married a Texas native and has 3 children... all born in Texas. She loves to travel but really can't see herself living anywhere else but the Lone Star State. Raising a family and building a 28 year marriage has taught Laura that life can be messy... and that's ok. As her kids started to graduate from high school, Laura decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in counseling, graduating in 2016 from Dallas Baptist University. 

Laura has found that her life experiences and training have built in her a passion for helping teens, young adults and families build stronger communication, trust and relationships as they learn to understand themselves and others. Laura has experience in counseling the following areas: sexual assault/crime victim trauma, anxiety/depression, unhealthy family dynamics, failure to launch, grief and loss.

Laura is a cognitive behavioral therapist and believes that a person's thought life has a significant impact on their ability to cope with life. Through examining the lens that each person views life, she believes that individuals can come to better understanding of themselves and their significant relationships.
